Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. You don't need to set aside large chunks of time for exercise to reap weight-loss benefits. If you can't do an actual workout, get more active throughout the day in simple ways by taking the stairs instead of the elevator or revving up your household chores.

Pilates helps you with breath work, encouraging deeper belly breaths that are in direct contrast to the shallow breathing many of us do on the reg.

Yep buddy, you got it right! If you wanna lose some weight then you have to train your body to respond well to long periods of intense exercise. We can all build to high intensity levels by exercising everyday. Maybe skip rope, do hiit yoga, run with your dog or even climb up and down the stairs but keep going at it. Thats how I, a 40 year old man started my journey with gaining muscle mass. I started with going up and down my stairs as many times as I could manage. Then I started cycling. I went from being a fairly obese middle aged guy to a muscly man. Although I'll admit, my ways weren't completely "organic". I did take supplements, lots of protein and muscle building supplements. The only one I take even now is amino acid supplement because theyre just generally helpful with soreness after exercise, while also useful in building muscle. You can find plenty of them online because you don't need a prescription for them. I get mine from www.vitaminexpress.org/uk/amino-acids-supplements and they have good enough service. Although you don't really have to take supplements if you don't plan to be very serious about body building. Just try to incorporate foods like kidney beans, greens and meat.
