As warming up increases the flow of blood to the muscles, it is crucial prior to any sport or exercise regime if we are to avoid injury. Warming up can include gently jogging or even walking or static stretching whereby you stretch out your legs and arms, and in increasing the muscle temperature you limit the chances of injury.

Lifting puts stress on the elbow. Improper lifting will put added and unnecessary stress on the elbow increasing the possibility of tennis elbow. To lift properly the palms should be facing the body. This will put the least amount of stress on the elbows and reduce tennis elbow risks.
